1. Semester Public Lectures: Each semester (Fall and Spring) the Academy promotes one public lecture that will cover topics pertaining to broad themes within the Academy readings. These lectures are open to the public. Lecturers will either be internal to the university or external.
  2. HBU Professor Lectures: The Academy promotes three lectures a semester (Fall and Spring) given by HBU Professors. This will give Academy students an opportunity to hear from one of HBU’s Professors and will fill out themes related to their readings.
  3. Course Lectures: While each Academy course class is primarily focused on Socratic discussion, by drawing from their own specialties, each Professor will offer “contextual” and, on occasion, “application-oriented” lectures related to the readings. These lectures will ground, deepen, and garner what students are learning in Socratic discussions.
