First Year Success

We focus on equipping our students to develop holistic support systems through various programs and services.

  • Serve as a resource and support for HBU students
  • Provides one-on-one coaching
  • Helps students identify and effectively use campus resources
  • Monthly Lunch and Learn Workshops to assist holistic student development
  • Encourage student engagement in the HBU community
  • Freshmen year Advising
  • First Generation Success Program (Gen-1)

We require all freshmen to meet their success coach at least two times per semester.

Biography: Kimberly loves traveling with her husband, spending time with her children, and trying out new recipes from Pinterest. When Kimberly is not walking the trails, her passion is to equip students for a successful college career and beyond.

Biography: Annel loves spending time with her family, enjoys running, and spending time outdoors. She is a passionate Real Madrid and Man United soccer fan.

Biography: Luke loves spending time with his wife, studying theology and contemplating cultural trends. He is into hip-hop, sports and loves practically everything Ohio related.
