Houston Baptist University and the School of Christian Thought are pleased to welcome to the faculty Dr. Robert A.J. Gagnon. Gagnon is known for his expertise in New Testament Scripture, and for his compelling writings. Most recently, Gagnon was an associate professor of New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Dr. Todd Bates, dean of the HBU SCT, said, “Dr. Gagnon is a great addition to our faculty. As a senior scholar, he brings years of experience to the classroom, and wisdom to his colleagues. I appreciate the seriousness with which Dr. Gagnon approaches his task as a biblical scholar, as well as his unflinching commitment to Scripture. Gagnon has a doctorate in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies: New Testament from Harvard Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College.
