Following a confirmation vote by the general membership, Dr. Jason Lester, dean of the School of Fine Arts and associate professor of music, has been elected the National Secretary/Treasurer for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and will take office in June 2018. He is both honored and humbled to serve in this capacity for the 7,000 member organization whose mission is to encourage the highest standards of the vocal art and of ethical principles in the teaching of singing while promoting vocal education and research at all levels.
