Professor Yuri Yatsenko, Dunham College of Business, published the paper “Machine replacement under evolving deterministic and stochastic costs” in the top-ranked International Journal of Production Economics (Elsevier). The paper provides comparative analysis of traditional optimization method and real options technique in assessing rational business policies of machine replacement under technological and environmental uncertainty. Dr Yatsenko will present his new research in machine replacement and Operations Research at INFORMS 2017 Annual Meeting in Houston on Oct. 22-25, 2017. INFORMS is the leading international association for Operations Research & Analytics professionals, its previous 2016 Annual Meeting gathered more than 6,000 people.
