Dr. Levon Hayrapetyan, Professor of Business and Department Chair of Management, Marketing and Business, published a paper titled “How to Create an Environment that Encourages Academic Integrity? A Technological Approach” in the latest issue of the peer-reviewed journal “International Journal of Business Research and Technology”. The tool described in the article has two main features. First, it tries to prevent students from the temptation of cheating by using a variety of techniques (e.g., closing various types of files, making the Internet temporary inaccessible, disabling copy/paste feature, etc.). Second, it collects detailed information on students’ activities during the test period. This information is password-protected and can be used to dismiss or confirm that the test was plagiarized.
