The Blacksmith & Carpentry Shop
Visitors take a step back in time with a visit to the blacksmith and carpentry shop.
This exhibit also includes a number of cases displaying uniforms and men’s clothing. Visitors will marvel at the thickness of the buffalo hide used to create the coat and gloves of worn by a frontiersman in the 1800s and the steel helmet that accompanied them. Another case holds the outfit worn by an indentured servant; the unremarkable navy material in stark contrast to its fancy buttons.
