Managing Innovation Strategically
Dr. Weeks’ research and teaching specializes in organizational theory, innovation management, leadership and issues involving technology and the organization.
Dr. Weeks is the Dean of the Dunham College of Business at Houston Baptist University. His research and teaching specializes in organizational theory, innovation management, leadership, and issues involving technology and the organization. Dr. Weeks has published scholarly articles numerous journals including the California Management Review, The International Journal of Innovation Management, Innovation: Management, Policy & Practice, and Business Horizons. He has also consulted and conducted research with numerous Fortune 500 clients including General Dynamics, BAE Systems, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Astra Zeneca. His consulting work focuses on guiding firms through organizational change and strategic development processes. Prior to HBU, Dr. Weeks was an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Tampa where he was also the Senior Associate Director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership. Before moving to Tampa, he was an active-duty Air Force pilot for over 20 years. Dr. Weeks retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 after a 21-year career flying C-141s, T-38s, and T-3s. During his time in the Air Force he also completed two tours as an associate dean and management professor at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. His experience also includes leadership positions in numerous military units. In 2005 he led the Air Force humanitarian response to the Pakistan earthquake disaster.
