Teaching Focus

Ms. Kreft is director of the Fine Arts Museum in the University Academic Center where she acts as curator and preparator. In keeping with donor wishes, she uses the museum as a working classroom for all levels of students at Houston Baptist University and the greater Houston community. Art appreciation and art history lectures related to the collection are organized and presented by Ms. Kreft. Other cultural events such as book signings, poetry readings and musical performances are also planned by Ms. Kreft to enrich students in the elegant atmosphere of the museum.

Additionally, Ms. Kreft serves on the graduate committees of all Master of Fine Arts candidates.

Additional Information

Ms. Kreft has recently exhibited her work at Kilgore College and at Houston Baptist University. In Fall 2015, her work will be shown at Texas A & M University, College Station.

She has owned and managed various businesses in the Houston area related to the design, event planning and public relations industries.

Ms. Kreft created the patented non-profit trademarks for the Cattle Baron’s Ball and the Holiday Shopping Card during her many years of community service as a founding member of VICTORY supporting the American Cancer Society.

Ms. Kreft is a supporter of Good Shepherd Manor, Momence, Illinois where her bother lives in a sheltered Christian environment for men with developmental disabilities.

Ms. Kreft has traveled extensively.
