Dr. Czopik’s primary areas of interests are immunology, neurobiology, and the science of aging. She has been teaching the general biology and anatomy and physiology courses in the Biology Department. She began her career at HBU in the Fall of 2015. She is focused on undergraduate education and development of the undergraduate research at HBU. She is looking forward to teaching upper-level biology courses in the coming years.
Dr. Czopik has been an author and a co-author on 13 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of immunology, neuroimmunology, and the molecular biology of aging. Her publications have appeared in Nature, Nature Immunology, Immunity and Aging Cell. She has authored and co-authored several grants that have been funded at Yale University and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Awards and Honors
While at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Czopik was a recipient of an American Cancer Society Postdoctoral Fellowship. At Yale University, she received the Keystone Symposia Science Award.
