Freshman Merit Awards

2017-18 Merit Awards for Freshmen

New full-time HBU freshmen who are accepted unconditionally will be considered for ONE of the following awards.  Scholarship and grant recipients must meet all university requirements for regular admission to the fall or spring semester. The SAT is calculated using only the highest Critical Reading and highest Math sub-scores for the Old SAT or using the highest EBRW (Evidence-based Reading and Writing) and highest Math sub-scores for the new Revised SAT or “RSAT”. In the absence of class rank, GPA will be used to calculate merit awards. Don’t forget to check out the grants and other scholarship resources that are available to you, as well!

For information on how scores from both the old SAT and the Revised SAT or “RSAT” will affect scholarships, please see our SAT Policy page.
