Position Summary

The Graphic Designer serves the Pampell Online Division in creating visual concepts to communicate with existing and prospective students of HBU Online. The position is responsible for the overall layout and production design for digital and traditional advertisements, and other promotional material.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design creative and compelling brochures, infographics, presentations, logos, signage, banner ads, clothing concepts, trade show banners and booths, print collateral, email templates, and other web- and print-based projects, as needed.
  • Prepare mockups and proofs for review and approval.
  • Propose creative concept elements for potential and new projects.
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, AutoCad, Sketchup, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to perform well and remain organized under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with high standards for quality and workmanship.
  • Ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback.
  • Special projects and temporary duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree from an accredited college/university. Master’s preferred
  • 3 years of experience in marketing related field preferred
  • Ability to use PC and Mac systems to perform daily tasks.
  • Must have a good work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Adhearance and support of the Houston Baptist University statement of belief as required by the Preamble of the By-Laws of the university.
