The School Christian Thought is currently seeking a full-time faculty member in Christian Thought to begin Fall 2016. The faculty member can teach in a range of areas fitting with specialty, but should be able to teach online and on-ground masters-level classes within the Department of Apologetics.
The MAA (Masters of Arts in Apologetics) is in the midst of launching a new Philosophical Apologetics track and is seeking a faculty member who can shape and guide this new offering, as well teach other classes within the School of Christian Thought. The MAA is a fast-growing degree program, with most of our growth coming from 100% online students. Applicants should be committed to developing their online teaching skills, and should be enthusiastic about teaching online classes. Previous experience teaching online is preferred but not essential.
Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
The search will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
- Teaching online classes as well as on-ground classes in Houston.
- Developing new online classes for the MA in Apologetics and any other new degrees in Apologetics.
- Advising students as needed.
- Availability for service and committee work as needed.
The successful candidate will have appropriate academic terminal degree (such as a PhD) and professional experience in a field related to Philosophical Apologetics. The candidate will provide documentation of an excellent teaching record and evidence of scholarly interests and achievements.
