Houston Baptist University (HBU) is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in Government starting Fall 2017. The ideal faculty member will be able to teach widely in American politics and institutions, core classes in American Government, and upper-division classes in political theory. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and a willingness to serve as mentor and advisor to students.
This position will also serve as Assistant Director of HBU’s Center for Law & Liberty. The Center is dedicated to civic education and the advancement of America’s founding principles. The Center holds teacher workshops, offers lectures, hosts speakers, and provides extracurricular events for students throughout the year. Administrative duties will include assistance with event planning, attendance at hosted events, and occasional public speaking.
