Alumni Board Description
The HBU Alumni Board of Directors is composed of alumni that span many ages and walks of life and represent over 17,000 HBU alumni in order to strengthen the HBU Alumni community. The HBU Alumni Board of Directors has worked vigorously to help individuals find their comfortable level of participation with the association in order to bring the network closer together.  Through various ways of serving and giving back, the HBU Alumni Board is continually strengthening university and alumni relations and is actively advancing the vision of Houston Baptist University.

Board members serve a three-year term, and must be committed to expending the time and energy necessary to make the The HBU Alumni Board of Directors a success.
Duties include attending board meetings, serving on committees, contributing to the HBU Annual Fund and providing overall support for programs and activities.

Their work has developed and increased the reputation of the Houston Baptist University. You can assist board members by:
  • Attending regional social/networking and student recruitment activities
  • Recruiting prospective students to HBU
  • Encouraging employers to hire students for internships, project work, fulltime job opportunities
  • Giving to the Annual Fund, our annual gift campaign and other ongoing funding initiatives
Many ways that an HBU Alumni can assist the Alumni Board is by serving on a committee.
