Position Summary:

The School of Education seeks candidates for several faculty positions. We are specifically interested in candidates who have credentials and experience in any of these areas:

  • Special Education
  • Educational Diagnostics
  • School Counseling

Faculty in the School of Education concentrate on teaching and mentoring undergraduate, graduate and certification-seeking students. Responsibilities also include advising teacher education students, participating in scholarly and service activities, and collaborating with public and private schools.

Job Responsibilities:

Candidates will have a doctorate in the appropriate field of education as well as extensive background in said field. A minimum five years of full-time successful teaching experience in public or private schools is expected. Experience with assessment and educational technology applications preferred.

The successful candidate will also be able to articulate a vision for the role of his or her discipline at HBU that is supportive of the Ten Pillars Vision statement; the Ten Pillars vision statement may be found at www.hbu.edu/tenpillars.
