2010-2011 Guild President Sharon Corry

Dear Guild Members,

This is an exciting year as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of HBU's school charter to support education and develop the moral character of our future leaders. We extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning members of The Guild whose good deeds and Christian spirit will endeavor to spread the good news about HBU and what it stands for throughout our community. We are blessed with the fellowship of wonderful Christian women who serve The Guild through volunteer efforts, contributions and prayers. We anticipate an inspiring year filled with events such as the Fall Coffee, Christmas Luncheon, Silver Tea, Spring Event and Installation Coffee.

I want to thank you for the privilege to serve as your president and pray that God shines His light upon our good deeds in his glory.

May the Lord bless and keep you,
Sharon Corry

Legacy of Sharon Corry's Presidency:

During Sharon Corry's term as President (2010-2011), the sixth endowed scholarship was established. The Sue Collier Sloan Endowed Scholarship in Graduate Education was the first scholarship to be designated for the School of Theology. Additional funding of $50,000 to The Guild Institute in Christian Family Studies, along with this scholarship, was presented at the Annual Christmas Luncheon which commemorated the close of the 50th Anniversary of HBU.
