"Houston is one of America's most dynamic centers for the visual arts in the United States, and with the Fall 2008 opening of The Gallery and the University Academic Center, Houston Baptist University is joining the excitement of our city's many visual art offerings. I am very excited about HBU's current and future contributions to the fine arts; we have an outstanding art faculty, and a state-of-the-arts facility to host exhibitions and educational programs for the benefit of our students, faculty and the community.

The Gallery at HBU is a player on the national and international stage, by organizing exhibitions of works by national and international artists. I am particularly thrilled to have the opportunity to work closely with students and art faculty colleagues in mastering a uniquely creative environment for the visual arts at Houston Baptist University.

I bring my experience as a gallery director and curator into the field of teaching by offering apprenticeships and courses of study in Museums and Curatorial Practices to HBU students. The Gallery at HBU is educational, inclusive, and reflective of the high academic standards that the University maintains.
