Dr. Stacey’s teaching focus is on the nexus of political thought, practice, and culture.  His areas of specialization are political theory and American government.

Courses taught include:
  • American Government

He has written on a broad array of subjects ranging from the life and thought of Sir William Blackstone to Congressional oversight of the U.S. intelligence community.  His current research examines the relationship between liberty and security in light of modern terrorism.

Dr. Stacey was a Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers Honoree in 2006-2007 and 2002-2003.

He has previously served as founding chairman of the Government Department at Patrick Henry College and Associate Professor at Regent University’s Robertson School of Government.

Dr. Stacey enjoys camping, hiking, and time with his family.
