The Master of Education program at Houston Baptist is designed to develop teachers, as well as leaders in school administration and in special services necessary to the successful operation of schools in Texas. Students may earn both the MEd degree and the Standard certificate in Texas.

Houston Baptist offers Master of Education degrees in:

Curriculum and Instruction

• All-Level Certification in Art, Music, Physical Education, or Special Education (initial certification)
• Certification in Early Childhood through Grade 4 (initial certification)
• Secondary Certification in Grades 4-8, 6-12, or 8-12 (initial certification)
• Specialization in Instructional Technology with option for certification as Master Technology Teacher (EC-12)
• Degree without initial certification or a technology specialization
• Degree with supplementary certification in ESL
