All MLA courses are specifically designed for you and your classmates in the MLA program.  We don't piggyback our classes on top of undergraduate classes.  There are no prerequisites for any of the courses other than admission to the program.  New courses are continually being added, while some courses listed below were offered one time only.   And of course, all of your MLA courses are taught by our outstanding MLA faculty members!

One of the best things about the MLA curriculum is the flexibility.  You only need to complete two "core" classes, then the remainder is up to you!  This way, you can design an MLA experience that is unique to you and really meets your intellectual interests and personal needs.

At some point prior to graduation you must take any two of the following four classes.  These are your "core" classes.  You get to pick the remaining ten classes from any course we offer while you are enrolled.
