  • Arrange to have transcripts of ALL prior undergraduate and graduate academic work sent to the MABL office. An official transcript must be received from every institution attended, even if no credit was earned. Transcripts issued to students are NOT considered official. Additionally, any credits transferred from one institution to another must be transcripted in full from the granting institution.
  • The MABL candidate must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Details on the test may be obtained from the Educational Testing Service website.
  • Applicants educated abroad MUST have all transcripts and educational documents from institutions outside the United States evaluated by an approved evaluation service. Read more information regarding evaluation services. Students previously participating in a Master’s program or students who have earned a Master’s degree will not be required to take the GRE.
  • The transcripts, including calculation of grades for individual courses must be evaluated by the chosen evaluation service. A copy of the results must be sent directly to the Graduate Office at Houston Baptist University from the service before the applicant can be considered for admission.
