Institutional Effectiveness consists of two offices, the Office of Institutional Research and the Office of Compliance and Accreditation.  Together these offices facilitate University assessment and compliance with SACS and related federal or state requirements.  We also disseminate various types of information to both the University and outside communities.  For example, we provide internal SACS information and training, University statistical information, and create/disseminate research-based studies.

Office of Institutional Research

The mission of the Office of Institutional Research (OIR) is to provide timely and accurate information to University decision-makers and the University community.  For information on enrollment, student demographics, retention and graduation rates, and other topics, please visit the OIR website.  OIR is also tasked with coordinating academic assessment activities; for more information on this topic, please contact OIR .

Office of Compliance and Accreditation

The OCA is primarily targeted towards University faculty and staff.  If you are a faculty or staff member that is initiating an academic change or is in need of guidance as to SACS compliance, accreditation, or substantive change information, please visit the Office of Compliance and Accreditation's website.  If you are an administrator that is involved in the assessment for your area, please contact the OCA directly.
