A campus that emphasizes community

Carefully planned in order to blend convenience with the ability to connect to others in meaningful ways, the HBU campus is designed as a complex of buildings surrounding a central mall that begins with the Hinton Center and our new Cultural Arts Center and ends with Sharp Gymnasium and the Glasscock Center. In addition to the facilities you'll find listed in the navigation to the left, other key facilities include:

Husky Central - M.D. Anderson Student Center

Home to HBU’s undergraduate and graduate admissions offices. You’ll find friendly admissions counselors and staff, plenty of resources, and answers to most of your questions. And as long as you’re in the building, check out the University Bookstore and enjoy a cappuccino at The Pawz Coffee Shop or a bite to eat at the Bone Appetite Café.

Hinton Center

A campus landmark that features everything from classrooms to meeting rooms and houses the College of Business and Economics and the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. It is also home to the University's career and personal counseling services and resources.

Cullen Science Center and Cullen Science II

Offering students easy access to classrooms and laboratories, the Cullen Science Center plays a critical role in the success of our science and pre-med graduates. Similarly, at Cullen Science II, you’ll find our nursing majors preparing for success after HBU by training on computer-assisted instructional and simulation technologies.

Reuben L. Philips Residence College for Men, Rebecca Bates Philips Residence College for Women, and Husky Village

More than 600 HBU students live on campus in our Residence Colleges (more than 80 channels of cable TV, wireless Internet, a free weekly cleaning service…the works!) and the convenient on-campus apartments at Husky Village. The facilities they enjoy include everything from a pool, a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and a basketball court, to a barbecue and picnic area.

Eula Mae Baugh Center

It’s convenient location next to the Residence Colleges and Husky Village as well as the comfortable lounges, study rooms, workout center, smoothie bar, and food in the Baugh Center Cafeteria—makes the Baugh Center a popular destination for students in between classes.

The Glasscock Center

A newly renovated hub of activity featuring a gym, pool tables and big screen tvs - check out a Wii and enjoy some serious gaming competitions!

Memorial Hermann—HBU Wellness Center

Passionate about fitness? You will love our 80,000-square-foot Wellness Center featuring an indoor lap pool, a gymnasium, cardiovascular and free-weight equipment, racquetball courts, and an indoor walking track, among other facilities.
