
HBU Resources for Current Students
MY.hbu.edu portal system provides access to all electronic information systems for the University, including your email, calendar, forms, blackboard and all other accessible systems. Resource Quick Reference table provides a quick reference of contact names, phone numbers and locations of the most used HBU resources and services. HBU Directory is for anyone . . . .whether you're a prospective student, an alum, a friend of the University, or a fellow Houstonian, we welcome the opportunity to answer your questions and provide you with the information you need. The University switchboard may be reached at (281) 649-3000. The Success and Advising Center (SAC) assist students who are seeking to explore their college major options, considering changing their major, or are wondering what careers relate to their major. The SAC staff also work with conditionally/provisionally admitted students. The Learning Center (TLC) provides services and programs to assist students in reaching their academic goals by providing tutoring and supplemental instruction in math and writing. Academic Accommodations for Students with Learning Disabilities provides reasonable accommodations for students with documented learning disabilities on a case-by-case basis. Reasonable accommodations are made in accordance with requirements set forth in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the American Disabilities Act of 1990, and policies and procedures stated in the Houston Baptist University catalog. Financial Aid advisors can provide information about the types of financial aid available and how to apply for it. Financial Aid Office also assist students with jobs available on campus. The Career Center assist students with jobs available on campus. The Registrar's Office provides services related to the creation and maintenance of student's academic records. Student Life seeks to provide for the overall development of students through programs and services addressing the spiritual, intellectual, relational, physical, and personal stewardship areas of life. The Moody Library provides a host of services and resources for students, including a collection of primary and secondary print and non-print materials to assist the instructional, informational, research needs of the University's student, faculty, and staff. The Student Health Services promotes wellness of the campus community through health education and provision of basic health care services. It is designed to help enhance and protect the health and well-being of HBU students, faculty and staff. The Staff invites you to come by and utilize the available health care services.
