Chemistry is the central science to the heartbeat of many other fields. The Department of Chemistry at Houston Baptist University offers a major and a minor in Chemistry with strong foundations in theory and laboratory practice. All faculty members in the Department have Ph.D. degrees.

Many career paths can be followed that include a major in chemistry.   The chemistry major can obtain meaningful, professional employment in research laboratories and industrial laboratories on a Bachelor’s level.  The chemistry major combined with study in other areas can lead to careers in business, health professions, and law.
