The HBU Alumni Association is very pleased to share that we currently have five endowed scholarships. One scholarship is available each year to an entering freshman. Each recipient receives $4,500 a year for four years, totaling $18,000 ($2,250 each semester for 8 semesters).

Applicant Requirements:

• Must be an entering freshman who is a relative of an alumnus and who has been accepted to the University by May 15th.
• Student must be accepted to the University at the time the Alumni Scholarship Committee meets to review applications in order to be considered for the scholarship. (See application deadline below.)
• Full-time continuous enrollment of twelve hours or more per semester for four successive school years (September-May).
• Successful completion of courses for credit for each and every class each semester.
• Maintain a 2.5 grade point average and be a student in good standing.
• Attendance at certain functions during the year as specified by the Alumni Board such as an Alumni Board meeting, the Spring Scholarship Luncheon and the Alumni Association Annual Meeting held during Homecoming weekend.

Scholarship applications must be postmarked by May 15. The Scholarship Committee reviews all applicants and makes the awards by June 30th. Scholarships will be awarded on student merit and qualifications only. Scholarship applications should be mailed to:
