Call for Papers - Christian Business Review

Next Issue: Focus on Christian Business Ethics

Guidelines to Contributors: Please refer to the Guidelines published in the Inaugural Issue of the CBR.

The Christian Business Review (CBR) invites Christian scholars and practitioners to submit articles for publication in our next issue. The deadline for proposals is December 1, 2012, with completed drafts due by February 1, 2013. Please address in your proposal the purpose, methodology, and main conclusion of your article in 300 words or less.

In the next issue of the Christian Business Review, we invite authors to examine the challenge of living by an ethical code of conduct based upon unchanging biblical principles. Our aim is to publish evidence of novel as well as conventional pursuits of Christ-honored ethics that build up organizations and their stakeholders.

In a culture that commonly expects business people to operate by a special set of rules reserved for the “game” of business, followers of Christ know that they are called to a higher standard. But what exactly is this standard? Is it realistic to expect believers to maintain credibility and respectability in their careers and organizations if they are not willing to do what it takes to get the job done, even if “what it takes” is inconsistent with the teachings of Christ? We invite thoughtful analysis, documentation, and first person account of practices by Christian men and women in leadership that exemplify the triumph and challenges of the biblical ethical code in action in the context of the real business world.
