Career and Calling Services Offered for HBU Students and Alumni

Students and Alumni:

As you begin to discover more about God's call on your life, we want to help you learn about yourself and your career options. Here are some available opportunities:

Personality and Interest Assessments:
We offer the  Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory (SII), and StrengthsQuest assessments. There is a slight fee to cover the cost of each assessment.  Contact Colette Cross to make an appointment.

Career Counseling:
Students and alumni are encouraged to explore interests, skills, and values in order to make effective career decisions and develop action plans for the future.  For more information, contact us.

Career Resource Library:
Resources are available for checkout on career alternatives, job search techniques, salary surveys and job market trends. Also available are self-help handouts on resumes and cover letters, commonly asked interview questions, networking tips and other job search information.  In addition, you will find sample resumes, cover letters and reference templates under the Resource Library in Hire a Husky. We would invite you to check out www.careercruising.com for additional information.  Contact ccross@hbu.edu for website information.

Job Search Workshops:
As a way of assisting students in organizing and conducting a successful job search, we sponsor a series of workshops throughout the year pertaining to various aspects in the job search process.  For scheduled workshops please feel free to contact us.
