Student Organizations

If you want to be a part of something big, HBU is the place to be. We’re not a large university, but that enables our students to play a larger role when it comes to getting involved. From interest-based groups to student government and leadership opportunities to spirit groups, there are many opportunities for students to get involved in a variety of life-enriching professional and social student organizations.

With more than 60 student organizations to choose from, our students have no trouble finding one that fits their interests and enthusiasms. Membership in an organization can be a rich learning experience, an opportunity to build leadership skills and a way to connect with the community.

As an HBU student, you will routinely be challenged to be a leader, discover your gifts and talents and find new ways to help others. And there are many ways to meet that challenge. Being a part of our governing organizations can help you to inspire yourself and those around you by planning new initiatives. Taking part in our honor organizations can help you fill your résumé with new accomplishments. Participating in a professional organization, available for nearly every academic and career interest, can help you prepare for what’s next. Working on a student publication allows you to provide new ideas and fascinating insights to the HBU community. Being active in one of our service and social service organizations, including fraternities and sororities, enables you to benefit your community and make the kinds of connections that last a lifetime. Joining a special interest organization can help you embrace new adventures, relationships and experiences. And, lastly, becoming a member of one of our spirit groups can help you spread school spirit and become a well-known member of the HBU community.
