11th Annual 5K Fun Run and Walk

Course Description
This 5K (3.1 mile) race starts at the front entrance of the Houston Baptist University campus. From there it travels east on Fondren before proceeding south on Beechnut to the northwest side of the HBU campus. Runners will return to the Fondren side of campus and finish at the front entrance. No pets, skates, rollerblades, bikes or wheeled vehicles of any kind will be allowed on the course. The course is USATF Certified-TX01015ETM.
Team Challenge
This year, we want you to have a blast with friends and family. So register as a Husky Hustle Team, dawn a costume and come up with a creative team name!
A Husky Hustle Team is simply a collection of Husky Hustle participants who register under the same team name. The main benefit of a Husky Hustle Team is it makes it simpler to recruit friends and to view your team members’ registration status (incomplete or complete) through your EZToRegister account.
You also get the chance to constantly perform your awesome team chants and battle cries during the race. There is not a team discount and the minimum number of team members is one. Yes. You can be on a team by yourself. Go team you!
If racing for time isn't really your thing, feel free to walk, dance, crawl, roll, piggy-back ride, or summersault your way through the course.

$15 early registration
$20 on race day, November 3
$8 for Current HBU Students, Faculty/Staff (with valid HBU ID)
$8 for Alumni (pre-race day registration only)
HARRA Members $1 discount
T-shirts (if not registering for race) = $10

Parking is free for all participants and volunteers.
Use Parking Lots #2 and #3 on the Fondren Road side of the HBU campus.
Awards
Age group awards will be given to 1st - 3rd place male and
female in the following age groups:
20-24
25-29
30-34
35-39
40-44
45-49
50-59
60+
Overall Awards will be given to the top man and woman in the open and masters.
Finishers ribbons will be awarded to all children participating in the Kids' 1K.

Husky Hustle Team Awards will be given for the following categories:
Best Team Time
Most Creative Team Costume
Most Creative Team Name
Post Race Party
Following your morning run around the HBU campus, a post race party featuring food, drinks and awards ceremony will be held in the Bettis Quadrangle of the Brown Administration Building.
Proceeds to Benefit
Proceeds from the HBU Husky Hustle will support scholarships.
