Financing Your Education

True leaders are those who measure success by the number of lives they touch and improve. As part of our mission to graduate such leaders, HBU works hard to provide both financial aid opportunities and to address issues of affordability. You'll find numerous academic, talent, leadership, merit, athletic and alumni scholarships and grants, including HBU's prestigious Endowed Academic Scholarship.

What exactly do you mean by financial aid?
Financial aid, simply defined, is money that helps students pay for their educational costs. As an HBU student, you may receive aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships, employment opportunities, or a combination of these. Although the primary responsibility for meeting post-secondary educational expenses rests with students and their families, many families have limited resources and are unable to meet these costs. For this reason, several financial aid programs have been established to assist students who can establish need.

Mark these dates on your calendar:

  • April 1st: This is the preferred annual deadline to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). List HBU's federal school code, 003576, on your application. HBU’s Financial Aid Office begins packaging financial aid in March.
