  • Why I Love Being a Tutor:  Being a tutor allows you to get in contact with and help other students while keeping yourself sharp on the basics of your own areas of study.
  • Best Study Tip:  Latin: memorize your paradigms and start with the verb.  Logic: go slowly and think deeply.  Writing: always, always, always read your work aloud.
  • Interesting Fact:  Most of the furniture I own is some form of bookshelf.

  • Best Study Tip:  Memorize the core, or most important, material first and the little details and tidbits will branch off of that and come easier.
  • Interesting Fact:  I am right handed, but I like to eat with my left hand because using your non-dominant hand more will help improve your memory.

  • Why I Love Being a Tutor:  I've been tutoring since high school and I absolutely love it!  Just knowing that I have the opportunity to help an individual overcome obstacles is what makes being a tutor a rewarding job!
  • Best Study Tip:  Always plan ahead and be efficient.  Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to go over all the study materials multiple times.  Recite the information to the point that you are able to teach someone else.  That's when you know you have thoroughly learned the material.
  • Interesting Fact:  I am really girly!  I love doing my nails and hair, shopping, and hanging out with my best friends.  I'm really goofy and love to laugh!

  • Interesting Fact:  I'm really quirky.  I love reading, country music, and hanging out with my friends.

  • Interesting Fact:  One of my hobbies is making crochet stuffed animals.

  • Best Study Tip:  The internet is your best friend.  Check out quizlet.com to make online flashcards (it's free, it's great for your bio classes, and the website will compile your terms and definitions into practice tests), the textbook website, and youtube.com for videos that cover difficult concepts.  (I personally recommend the channel Khan Academy.)  
  • Interesting Fact:  I am currently a Pre-Nursing major also taking Pre-Med requisites with the hopes of getting into Medical School with a Nursing degree. :)  Fingers crossed!
