Mrs. Gillson’s primary teaching focus is in the fundamentals of nursing. She currently teaches NURS 2404, The Art and Science of Nursing, at HBU.

Mrs. Gillson is active in her local congregation at the Katy Church of Christ. She has been the first grade coordinator, organized a ladies’ retreat and started a ladies’ Bible study group. She participated in a medical mission trip to El Salvador in 2010 and served as a Red Cross volunteer after the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995.
