Teaching Focus

Ms. Dominguez' teaching focus is medical surgical nursing. Her areas of specialization are Perioperative Nursing and Nursing Pharmacology

Awards and Honors

Ms. Dominguez' was awarded the Opal Goolsby Outstanding Teaching Award in 1992 during her first year of teaching at HBU. She was also honored with Texas Nursing Association, District 9 Outstanding Nurse Award in 2003. In addition, she received the Houston Baptist University Nursing Student Association Leader of Leaders Award in 1999.

Additional Information

She serves as a reviewer of nursing publications and expert witness for nursing malpractice cases. Ms. Dominguez continues to actively practice in the nursing profession in the Operating Room and Recovery Room of a local hospital.

While at HBU, Ms. Dominguez has served as the United Way Representative for the School of Nursing and Allied Health and on the following University committees:
