Teaching Focus

Dr. Campbell-Law's major area of specialization is diagnosis and management of individuals with chronic and persistent psychiatric disorders. She has created innovative teaching strategies and arrangement of clinical experiences for psychiatric mental health nursing students.

Additional Information

Dr. Campbell-Law is involved in several research projects, which include chronic mental illness and substance use in the adult and the elderly.

While at HBU, Dr. Campbell-Law has served on several campus wide as well as School of Nursing and Allied Health committees including Chair of the Peer Review Committee, The Graduate Level Checkpoint Curriculum Committee, and member of the Faculty Affairs Committee, and the University Admissions Committee. She is currently serving as Chair of the College of Nursing Admission, Progression and Graduating Standards Committee.  And, she is a faculty adviser for the Sigma Theta Chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha. And recently promoted to Interim Director for the School of Nursing.

Dr. Campbell-Law has received a number of honors and awards. She has served as President of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, and Texas Nursing Association, Board of Directors. She was honored as one of the 20 outstanding nurses in Houston at the 2004 Celebration of Nursing.
