Spring 2013 Children’s Show
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
Houston Baptist University’s School of Fine Arts and the Rex Fleming Players are proud to present their first children’s production, C.S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,
in Dunham Theater. This show’s daytime performances (10:00 a.m.) are designed and tailored for two specific groups: the Homeschooling Community (April 3, 2013) and surrounding Schools and Classrooms (April 4 & 5, 2013). There will also be an open performance (April 5, 2013) at 6:30 p.m. We invite you to come experience a tale of love, faith, courage, and sacrifice.
Homeschoolers (April, 4th & 5th at 10:00 a.m.)
The original Homeschool Day was scheduled for April 3rd; however, it had to be moved to April 4th. In addition, we have opened the April 5th performance to our homeschooling community. Tickets are group priced at $15 per family.
School and Classroom Performances (April 4th & 5th at 10:00 a.m.)
Our School and Classroom Performances on April 4 and 5 at 10:00 a.m. are for surrounding schools. The performances are conveniently placed directly after STAR testing for our public schools. Tickets are priced at $4 per student with teachers and chaperones admitted free of charge. Additionally, our Education Department has designed a free downloadable education packet for classroom activities before and after the performance.
Open Performance (April 5th at 6:30 p.m.)
The open performance is for everyone. The tickets for this production will be sold around campus and at the door immediately before the performance. Tickets will be $5 apiece.
Busses used for transportation of audience members must park in lot #5 - the spaces closest to the baseball and softball fields adjacent to the Morris Center. Additionally, we suggest larger vehicles enter the school by the main entrance off of Beechnut between the baseball and softball fields.
If you would like to have lunch on campus after the performance, please feel free to brown bag at any of our outside tabled or grassy locations.
