Kappa Delta Pi (Education)

"The purpose of Kappa Delta Pi shall be to promote excellence in and recognize outstanding contributions to education. Kappa Delta Pi shall endeavor to maintain a high degree of professional fellowship among its members, to quicken professional growth, and honor achievement in educational work. To these ends, it shall invite to membership, persons who exhibit commendable professional qualities, worthy educational ideals, and sound scholarship, without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, or disability."

The HBU chapter is named Pi Eta. Which meets at least twice per year. Pi Eta membership is comprised of approximately 70 graduate education students. Criteria are as follows:

  • Admission to graduate education
  • At least 15 graduate hours at HBU
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Recommendation by faculty

Pi Eta is a regular contributor to Reading is Fundamental. The newest endeavor is establishing a mentorship program between our membership and beginning leaders.
