School of Business Course Assessment

The School of Business is committed to assessing its courses. Our program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes are consistent with the HBU institutional-level learning outcomes.

Program Learning Outcomes for each accredited program:

Program Outcomes for the Business Administration Program at the Bachelor’s Level (BBA)

1. Students will improve their skills in expressing themselves orally and in writing.
2. Students will improve their critical thinking skills.
3. Students will acquire skills in working with others as a member of a team.
4. Students will develop a clearer understanding of, and commitment to, personal ethics and corporate social responsibility.
5. Students will acquire knowledge in the Common Core for the BBA major.

Program Outcomes for the Graduate Level Programs (MBA, MS-HRM, MS-MGMT and MACCT)

1. Students will improve their skills in expressing themselves orally and in writing, suitable for an executive audience.
2. Students will improve their critical thinking skills, suitable for analysis and strategic thinking at the executive level.
3. Students will acquire skills in working with others as a member of a team.
4. Students will develop a clearer understanding of, and commitment to, personal ethics and corporate social responsibility, suitable for an upper-level manager in a large corporation.
5. Students will acquire knowledge in the Common Professional Component before proceeding to advanced and diversified courses (except MS-MGMT which requires a student to hold the MBA prior to admission).
