Museum Essay Contest
HBU's 4th Annual "A Piece of the Past" Museum Essay contest
, open to undergraduate and graduates students, has been announced. Essays may be written on any artifact or work of art in any of the four HBU museums, and the prizes are substantial. Essay Guidelines

are available for the Art Category. The deadline for entry is 5 PM Friday, February 21, 2014.
“A Piece of the Past” Museum Essay Contest was inaugurated in 2010-2011 to encourage student research into the artifacts of the Dunham Bible Museum, the Museum of American Architecture and Decorative Arts, and the Museum of Southern History. 1st and 2nd place awards, of $500 and $250 respectively, are given for essays for each of the Museums. In 2013, a fourth category of "Freshman Essays" was also established, with 1st and 2nd place awards.
