Summer Reading Program
In partnership with the Institute of Reading Development, Houston Baptist University is offering reading skills programs for children and adults on the HBU campus this summer.
The programs, designed and taught by professional instructors from the Institute of Reading Development, help participants develop and improve skills in phonics,
comprehension, vocabulary, and speed reading.
Each of the eight reading skills programs is targeted to the needs of students of a specific age and/or grade-level:
Each program meets once a week over a five-week period, with the first of two summer sessions beginning on the HBU campus on Monday, June 4. A second five-week summer session on the HBU campus begins Monday, July 9.
