Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the University
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • General maintenance
  • Electrical repair
  • AC repair/maintenance
  • Appliance repair
  • Pool/spa maintenance
  • Lock/key maintenance
  • Light plumbing/toilet maintenance
  • On call for maintenance emergencies
  • Reports to director of maintenance and operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform and handle multi-tasks.
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
5 years facilities related prior experience.
 
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
 
 
OTHER JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Customer service oriented, prompt, efficient, and committed to quality.
  • Advanced maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
 

Additional Info:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential duties of the job, the employee is required to regularly walk around the campus, inside and outside and be physically active.  Must be available to work some weekends and sometimes outside of normal working hours.  Must be available to work on campus  during the “moving in and out of apartments period”  at the end of each semester.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In exercising these functions the employee must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, carry boxes, move furniture, and carry trash to the dumpster.
