Perform HVAC repairs, installations of all HVAC related equipment, pump, motors, adjust belts, greasing and P.M.’s according to manufactures recommendations.
Install motors check for proper rotation.
Check Central plant daily and log chiller readings.
Make daily rounds to check all HVAC related equipment as well as boilers, chillers.
Changes filters on HVAC equipment, covers and vents.
Lubricates and does simple maintenance on machines and equipment.
Operates heavy machinery.
Cleans machinery, equipment, tools, and work areas.
Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Picks up and delivers material and equipment.
Reports maintenance problems.
Other duties as assigned
Work requires at least 4 + years experience in HVAC repairs and installation.
Must to be able to remove AHU motors and re-install
Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to high school with course work in skilled crafts or trades training.
OTHER JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to work with others and communicate in a firm and friendly manner with all staff and fellow workers as well as students.
In exercising these functions the employee must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, carry boxes, move furniture, and carry trash to the dumpster.
While performing the essential duties of the job, the employee is required to regularly walk around the campus, inside and outside and be physically active. Must be available to work some weekends and sometimes outside of normal working hours.
