Position Summary:
Houston Baptist University seeks one or more full-time faculty members in mathematics. Candidates must be able to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level while assisting in departmental activities, including but not limited to curriculum development, student advising, program assessment, and committee work. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to direct undergraduate research projects is required. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Candidates should be available to begin work in the fall of 2012.

Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in mathematics, be active professionally, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have strong skills in the use of instructional technology, and be committed to quality teaching at a Christian liberal arts university.
