Position Summary:
Houston Baptist University seeks Adjunct Professors to join the College of Arts and Humanities with expertise in Classics, specifically Latin language and literature. With the growth of many of our programs and the increase in our student population as a whole, we are now offering more sections of first and second year Latin.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have a minimum of a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Classics (Latin), be able to teach lower division Latin courses, and demonstrate expertise in appropriate and current instructional pedagogy. Applicants should also demonstrate enthusiasm for our classical liberal arts core curriculum.
Candidates should be available to begin work in January, 2011. Review of applications will begin by September 1, 2010, and continue until the position is filled.
