The Department of Chemistry is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning in a Christian work environment. With the growth of our program and the HBU student population as a whole, we are preparing to offer a wider variety of sections at the undergraduate level beginning in January 2010. The College offers both daytime and evening adjunct opportunities.
Applicants should have a minimum of a master’s degree in chemistry with at least 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry. A completed doctorate in chemistry and a demonstrated record of quality teaching is preferred. We are currently seeking faculty who can teach introductory chemistry lecture and laboratories and general chemistry lectures and laboratories.
The University is in the process of implementing its Ten Pillars vision (www.hbu.edu/vision) and anticipates significant growth in enrollment and programs. The successful candidate will also be able to articulate a vision for the role of his or her discipline at HBU that is supportive of the Ten Pillars vision statement.
