Dr. Michael Ward, one of the world’s pre-eminent scholars in C.S. Lewis studies and imaginative apologetics, has been recruited to HBU to serve as a professor in apologetics and the director of its new C.S. Lewis Centre in Oxford, England.

Mock trial team earns fifth consecutive spot in National Tournament’s opening round

HBU's Blue Team placed second overall at the American Mock Trial Association's Houston Regional Tournament, held Feb. 3-5 on the HBU campus. More than 170 students on 22 different teams representing 15 colleges and universities, including the University of Texas and the University of Georgia, competed at the event.

ATP Oil & Gas CEO to deliver Brown Lecture

"An Act of Providence" wins writing award for institutional history

An Act of Providence, the history of HBU's first 50 years compiled and written by Vice President Emeritus Don Looser, has received the History Writing Award for Institutional History from the Texas Baptist Historical Society. The award will be presented during the annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas in Corpus Christi in November 2012.
